Alpha Chi Sigma, the pre-professional chemistry fraternity, is hosting a lecture series called “What’s Going on Upstairs?” where faculty in the Chemistry Department speak to students about their research.This Thursday, November 8th at 7pm in Ch001, Professor Martha Oakley will be presenting. The focus of her research is biochemistry and she will be speaking on “A Chemist’s View of Bacterial Chromosome Segregation: Structure and Function of the E. Coli. SMC Protein MukB.”
This opportunity is especially beneficial for students who have been considering getting involved in research and want to figure out what their own research interests are.
