Making appointments in March and April – PLEASE READ!

March 23, 2009 by Anna, Kate, & Mary Ann

IMPORTANT:  HOW TO SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS FOR FALL REGISTRATION ADVISING

Registration for Fall classes is coming soon.  Due to the volume of students needing to see an advisor prior to registering for their Fall (or summer) classes, our scheduling process will change to accommodate the increased demands.  Please pay attention to the process.

If you want to make an advising appointment for the period between Thursday, March 26 and Friday, April 17, you must schedule your appointment IN PERSON. We will not accept appointments via phone or email during this time period.  You must come into the Advising Office in Jordan Hall A115.  If you are currently on an Overseas Study, please let us know if you want advising help for Fall by emailing us at bioadv@indiana.edu

Sign up for an appointment in one of the four folders you’ll see.  One folder is labeled “Seniors,” another “Juniors,” and so on.  Sign up in the folder that reflects your class standing for next semester. In other words, if you’re currently a junior entering your senior year, you’ll sign up in the Seniors folder.    Please remember that the more flexible you are in who you want to see, the more likely it is that you can make an appointment at a convenient time for you.

We will still hold walk-in advising, but be aware that walk-ins should take no more than 15 minutes. If you think you need a longer time, you MUST make an appointment.

Again, the reminder is that this process will be in place for the entire Peak Advising period March 26-April 17.
