Job Description : We are looking for a self-motivated researcher to join a  multi-disciplinary team of physician scientists, immunologists and computational biologists working at the Broad Institute in a fast-paced dynamic project focused on understanding the mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease in order to accelerate its treatment. Our work involves the generation and study of novel in vitro and in vivo disease models using a variety of cutting edge tools, such as CRISPR genome engineering and novel applications for high throughput sequencing. Incumbent will work very closely with one of our postdoctoral fellows/project leaders, and is expected to work independently after training. She/he will interact and collaborate closely with other scientists, biologists, chemists and computational biologists. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a highly vibrant and enriching environment at the Broad Institute and take part in the development and application of experimental techniques at the front line of current biological research. We encourage applicants about to complete their undergraduate study and interested in gaining experience before continuing their education. We are most interested in those whose timelines would allow for at least two years at the Broad. Start date of this position is the Spring or Summer of 2014.
Requirements : • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in biology or equivalent   field.• At least one-year prior research experience in molecular biology, cell biology or similar field.• Motivation, scientific curiosity and a high   level of initiative. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
