– bacteria, yeast, and mammalian cells to express protein
– various methods to purify proteins
– … and you will learn how to design and select:
- vectors and host cells to express protein
- procedures to purify protein
- techniques to assay protein function and structure
Mondays (Lecture) 2:30pm- 3:15pm – Tuesdays and Thursdays (Lab) 1-3:30 pm
Prerequisites: BIOL-L211 and CHEM-C341, and one of the following: CHEM-C343, BIOL-T315, M255, M360, L319, L323, L324, L373 or M435 or talk to Dr. Chen
