2015 Summer Health Justice Internships

Our NHI summer internships give a chance for students to work in Indigenous communities of NM/AZ on community health projects. Focus is on community-driven, sustainable projects and interns are assigned to projects based on their interests and abilities. 2015 Indigenous Health Leadership Institute

April 10-12th (Fri-Sun), 2015 in Albuquerque, NM

This three-day immersion into Indigenous culture and health brings together healers and healers-in-training from across the United States. Speakers will include Tribal leaders, traditional healers, youth and elders, with topics ranging from historical trauma, intersection of traditional and Western medicine, and skill-building workshops (community asset mapping, cultural humility).
