Spring scholarship competitions are now open!

The application deadlines for the following scholarships are coming up soon! Specific information about the individual competitions, complete eligibility criteria, and links to application materials are available on the College of Arts and Science’s Scholarship and Awards page.

Scholarship Eligibility Deadline
Palmer-Brandon Prize in the Humanities Students pursuing a BA or BFA in the College with a focus on the humanities (coursework, research and/or creative projects and career plans); high academic achievement; current 3rd-year students; eligible to graduate in May or August 2016 Friday, March 6Finalists will be interviewed on Friday, March 27
Senior Scholarship Competition**  Students pursuing a degree (any degree objective); must be eligible to graduate in May or August of 2016; minimum 3.700 cumulative College GPA Tuesday, March 10 – Please note: scholarship forms currently state that the deadline is March 6, but the deadline is Tuesday, March 10
William G. Bray Memorial Scholarship Majors or Minors in History (College), Political Science (College) or Operations and Decision Technologies (Kelley); current sophomore or junior; record of “good campus citizenship” Monday, March 9Finalists will be interviewed on Thursday, March 26
David E. Albright Memorial Scholarship Students pursuing a major in SGIS; must be eligible to graduate in May or August 2016 Tuesday, March 10, at 11:59:59 p.m.
Sally Kissinger  Wilt Current freshmen directly admitted to College; 3.700 GPA; application materials have been sent to qualified students Wednesday, March 4
Intensive Writing Essay Prize Students who took/are taking IW courses during the 2014-2015 AY Friday, March 13
Anderson Overseas Study Scholarship Students with a major or minor in SGIS who have applied for overseas study programs for Summer 2015, Fall 2015 or for the 2015-2016 academic year DEADLINE EXTENDED!Wednesday, March 11 (confirmation of acceptance can be submitted by Tuesday, March 24)
Cindy Simon Skjodt Study Abroad Scholarship College students who have applied for overseas study programs for Summer 2015, Fall 2015 or for the 2015-2016 academic year; preference given to students with a major in Telecommunications DEADLINE EXTENDED!Wednesday, March 11 (confirmation of acceptance can be submitted by Tuesday, March 24)

** Please note that some scholarships included in the Senior Scholarship competition have very specific restrictions and can be challenging to award because there are not enough applicants who meet the eligibility criteria. If you are a graduate of Anderson High School in Anderson, IN, or from Clay County (or contiguous counties), consider applying for the Senior Scholarship Competition. By submitting one application for the Senior Scholarship competition, you will be considered for all awards for which you meet the eligibility criteria.
