Study in Hong Kong next spring and earn science credit!

The IUB College of Arts and Sciences has a study abroad exchange agreement with Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (“HKUST”), and we are seeking nominations of math and science students for Spring 2016. Instruction at HKUST is in English!

Eligibility requirements:

  • cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
  • be pursuing a degree in science or math in the College of Arts & Sciences
  • have completed at least 1 year at IU prior to enrolling at HKUST

Wanted: Student Helper in Electric Fish Lab

Biology laboratory that studies South American electric fish is seeking a part-time student helper. Duties will include helping to maintain large, multi-tank aquarium systems and general lab maintenance (glassware washing, chemical inventories, maintaining laboratory equipment, etc.). In the long-term, there may be opportunities for interested students to become involved in research projects in the lab.

Hourly Job Position Available for the 2015-16 Academic Year

Job title: Office Assistant to Biology Advising Office and Scheduling Officer

Hourly position for 10 hours per week, at $9 per hour. The applicant must have availability during office hours 8:00a–4:00p Monday – Friday, with at least two afternoons for 2-3 hours each.

Duties include file maintenance, typing, copying, answering the phone and greeting students, assisting the Scheduling Office with faculty teaching evaluations, and other administrative duties.

Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills; be highly organized and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Candidate must have excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
