Attention IU biology students!
GlobeMed at IU is looking for students who believe global health is a human right not a privilege. GlobeMed at IU is a student run organization with over 50 chapters across the country. Each chapter is partnered with a grassroots organization abroad. GlobeMed at IU is partnered with the Trailblazer Foundation in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We work with the communities to help create sustainable projects to help eliminate diseases and provide nutrition and education to these rural communities. GlobeMed organizes various events throughout the year to help raise money to help benefit the needs of the communities.
GlobeMed also meets every week to learn how we can educate our peers about global health disparities. This year we have drawn special attention to understanding how social justice issues and systematic inequalities hinder global health equity.
If you want to learn more about GlobeMed at IU or if you are ready to be a part of a growing national organization come to our GlobeMed call-out Wednesday January 20th at 7 PM in Psych 111. If you can’t make it then feel free to come the following week. Questions? Email firstname.lastname@example.org
