Mark Bauman, MD

Associate Clinical Professor of Pathology

Sarah Tieman, MD

Lecturer of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics

Following a brief overview of the current curriculum for first and second year medical students in the IU School of Medicine, Dr. Bauman and Dr. Tieman will discuss various components of the Introduction to Clinical Medicine I  (ICM I) course on the Bloomington campus.  Topics will include the doctor-patient relationship, interprofessional collaborative skills, and concepts of socially accountable medical education. A new course, Foundations of Clinical Practice, will replace the current ICM I course in August, 2016 as part of a new integrated approach to medical education.  As time permits some of these upcoming changes will be discussed.
