Kelley scholarships available to graduating Biology students

Dear Biology students,

The Kelley School of Business has developed a new program called “College+Kelley” and has up to 6 scholarships for strong IU students graduating in Biology who wish to supplement their undergraduate degree in Biology with a Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) degree from the Kelley School of Business. The scholarships will cover up to 100% of tuition, and the program does not require any prior business or information systems courses. Something else to note is that if you have a GPA above 3.2, we can waive the GRE requirement.

Applications are due April 1, 2016.

College+Kelley ( ) is a 4 + 1 program designed for undergraduates to combine an undergraduate degree in the arts + sciences with a master’s degree in business.  With this program, you can complete a degree in the College, and immediately follow it up with an MS in one of several business programs.

The scholarships are available for full-time students earning an MS in Information Systems. No background in Business or Information Systems is required. (A full-time MS in Finance will also be available beginning in 2017.) If you join this program, you should plan to spend a full year in Bloomington beginning with Business Fundamentals and Information Systems Fundamentals courses—often referred to as “Boot Camp”—in the summer right after graduation. These foundations courses are followed by coursework in Bloomington for two more semesters (Fall and Spring) to complete the MSIS degree.  Please see for more information on the MSIS degree.

If you have (or will have) a job lined up after graduation, we encourage you to consider pursuing an MS degree from Kelley as a part-time option. The part-time degree begins with the (same) Business Fundamentals summer boot camp in Bloomington, which you should take (in June) before you start your job. Then, while you work full time, you can take 15 months to five years to complete a (part-time) Master of Science in one of six areas: Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Finance, Global Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or Strategic Management. Most of your courses will be online with occasional brief residencies. Please see for more information on the part-time MS degrees. (Unfortunately, the scholarships are not available to part-time students.)

If you are interested in learning more, please contact Alexa Lopez, Associate Director of +Kelley ( for more information.

We look forward to hearing from you!
