Lab technician and media/glasswashing positions available in Anderson lab

I have two openings in my lab. Please email me ( if interested, or pass on this message to anyone you think might be interested.

Position 1: Full time lab technician. I am seeking a full-time lab tech to start anytime between now and August. My lab studies meiotic recombination in baker’s yeast using a variety of approaches, including fluorescence microscopy, next-gen sequencing, and classical yeast genetics. Some prior research experience in molecular or cell biology is required, but the exact topic is not important; training specific to the lab will be provided. The position will be roughly 75% research and 25% lab management (keeping the lab stocked and organized, coordinating lab safety, etc.) A more detailed job description and instructions for applying are at

Position 2: Part time media/glasswashing tech. I am seeking someone to work 6-8 hours/week making media and stock solutions, washing glassware, and doing other routine lab tasks. Applicants should have a good understanding of molarity and pH. Preference will be given to someone who can work through the summer and next school year.
