Waitlist will run for last time today (Thursday) at 4:00 p.m.

We have just been informed by the Registrar that the last run of the Fall 2016 waitlist will be today (Thursday, 8/25/16) at 4:00 p.m. After that run, the waitlist will be turned off for this semester (the Registrar’s term for this is “waitlist requests expire”). If you have waitlisted a course and you still didn’t get in after 4:00 p.m. today, your next step — if you still want the course — is to contact the professor and ask to late-add the course next week.

We recently told our new directly-admitted students that the last run of the waitlist would be around 3:00 a.m. this morning. Not true – it’s 4:00 p.m. today. It is always the Thursday of the first week of class, but apparently the time of day can differ from semester to semester.

Reminder: if you want to DROP a class and wish to avoid a W on your transcript, you must drop before midnight this Sunday, October 28. If you have questions about how to add and drop, first consult the excellent Student Central website on this topic: http://studentcentral.indiana.edu/register/register-classes/change-registration/drop-add.shtml. Still unsure? Contact Student Central staff — they are your experts on how to work the registration system.
