Indiana University’s School of Art + Design is pleased to open its doors to

students, families, artists, and visitors for the annual Open Studios event on Friday, October 28 from 6:00

pm to 10:00 pm. Individuals interested in the BA, BFA or MFA programs can explore artists’ studio

practices, ask questions about the School’s areas of study, and preview course listings for Spring 2017. All

visitors are invited to try their hand at various art-making activities and view student artwork in multiple

studio locations. Attendees should plan to start in the Fine Arts Building, where maps and directions will be

available in the Friends of Art Bookshop. Visitor parking is available in the Global and International

Studies/Wells Library parking lot. The event is free and open to the public. For more information call 812-

Where: The School of Art + Design will have four main facilities open to the public:

6:00 – 8:00 pm Fine Arts Building, 1201 E. 7th St. (Creative Core, Digital Art, Friends of Art Bookshop,

Graphic Design, Grunwald Gallery, Metalsmithing & Jewelry, Painting, Photography,

Textiles, and Apparel Merchandising & Interior Design)


7:00 – 9:00 pm Central Stores Art Annex, 1026 E. 11th St. (Ceramics, Printmaking)

IU Press Warehouse Painting Studios, 802 E 13th St. (Painting)


8:00 – 10:00 pm McCalla School, 525 E. 9th St. (Fuller Projects, Sculpture, Textiles, Wrap Party and

Master of Fine Arts Student Organization raffle)
