Hello Seniors! This is your regularly scheduled reminder that if you plan to graduate in 2014 (especially in May or August of 2014), you must register to graduate ASAP via the College Recorder’s website here:
REMEMBER – IF YOU DON’T REGISTER, YOU WON’T GRADUATE! REGISTER NOW – SENIOR RECORD CHECKS ARE ONGOING!
- If you are pursuing a second or third degree, make sure to register twice. (NOTE: this applies when you’re pursuing a BS degree and another degree. It does not apply if you’re pursuing two BA majors.)
- Make sure to declare any minors and certificates with the school or department that offers the minor/certificate. (EXCEPTION: the minors/certificates listed on the Recorder’s website should be declared on that website.)

If you plan to graduate in December or May, please go to the Recorder’s Office web link listed here and file. You will NOT graduate unless you file.
If you are pursuing any minors, you must declare those as well. The link for the Chemistry minor is below. For other minors, please go to the department to have the minor declared.
(One exception: if you are pursuing a Business minor, you must go to the Recorder’s Office to declare it.)
Also, if you registered to graduate in a previous semester and did not graduate, you must change your graduation date. This is not changed automatically!
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask the advising office.
I am getting ready to do the senior checks for those of you who plan to graduate in August and have filed. Then I’ll begin the senior checks for December.
Once you file on the Recorder’s Office web site to graduate, I get a list with your name on it and I review your degree progress report. You will receive a copy and I will let you know if you are missing anything for graduation.
Here is the web link to apply: http://www.indiana.edu/~college/recorder/
You Will Not Graduate If You Don’t File!!!
Also, if you are pursuing a minor (i.e. Chemistry, Psychology, etc.) you need to go to that department to declare your minor. Minors cannot be added once you have graduated.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Have a nice day.
