Seeking Biology UTAs

Dr. Laura Mojonnier is seeking Undergraduate Teaching Assistants (for X371 credit or for pay) for two courses in Spring 2020:

  1. Biol-L104-11855 “Biology of the Senses” Looking for two UTAs for this introductory biology class for nonmajors. Biology of the Senses introduces students to biology by exploring sensory systems in humans and other animalsUTAs will work with students during in-class activities and help with creating and grading exams, quizzes, and homework.  While it’s in no way required, UTAs who want to gain extra teaching experience have the opportunity to take on their own projects, like developing their own in-class demonstrations or experiments or leading study groups.  You do not need to have taken Biol-L104 to serve as a UTA for this class – an A- or higher in Biol-L111, Biol-L112, or an equivalent will substitute.  You do need to be able to  attend lectures on T/TH from 11:15-12:30 in JH A100.
  2. Biol-L3187287 Evolution. Meets 1:25-2:15 PM MWF. Looking for a UTA who has taken either Biol-L318 or Bio-S318.  UTA will help shape course content by previewing/editing lectures, homework assignments, and exams, and will also help with grading.
